Conserving Natural Lands
The natural landscape is being preserved across the Greenway as the result of intensive land conservation and restoration efforts.
The Greenway does not happen by chance.
Evergreen trees still blanket the hillsides and valleys. The air is still fresh; the water is still clean. Cougars still pad through deep woods. Even though millions of people live here, in the hundred miles from Seattle to Ellensburg, these things remain true.
A big reason there are forests and natural lands remaining where we live, work and play is the work of the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust:
