Meet Us in the Park! Spring Breakfast

Do you enjoy the trails and natural areas that exist nearby? Do you care about wildlife and want to see habitats restored and protected? Do you believe in the power of connecting with nature and want to foster those connections for local youth?

If you answered yes to any of these, we invite you to join us on May 20 to connect with other community members who care about these issues and to meet our team members who conserve and enhance local landscapes every day. Enjoy breakfast in the park, hear from inspiring speakers, and then head out on immersive experiences that will provide a behind-the-scenes look at our conservation mission in action. Plus, you’ll learn what it means to be part of a Congressionally-designated National Heritage Area (NHA) and how you can get involved!

The main event will be followed by a series of fun activities that offer immersion in the Greenway Trust’s mission and work, including:

• Caring for saplings in our native plant nursery
• Exploring our salmon habitat restoration work along Issaquah Creek
• Experiencing how our educators turn nature into an outdoor science classroom
• Enjoying guided hikes that feature Greenway Trust trail work
