Matching Gifts
You can dramatically increase the impact of your gift to the Greenway Trust by requesting an employer match. Many companies match employee charitable donations at least dollar-for-dollar, often doubling or tripling the value of your contribution.
You can request an employer match by:
- Submitting a matching gift verification request through your employer’s online matching gift platform (such as Benevity), using the Greenway Trust’s Tax ID (or EIN): 91-1531234
- Requesting a matching gift verification form from your employer and sending it to the Greenway Trust by email (info@mtsgreenway.org), or by mail:

Payroll Deductions
You may also have the option to streamline your Greenway giving by donating on a pre-tax basis directly through your workplace giving platform, by setting up recurring donations via regular payroll deduction.
Volunteer Hour Matches
In addition to matching gifts, many companies match their employees’ volunteer service hours with donations. We recommend contacting your HR department or social impact team to confirm if your employer matches volunteer hours. Companies that use online giving platforms often process volunteer matches and donation matches through the same interface.
EarthShare
The Greenway Trust is a member of EarthShare of Washington. EarthShare is a federation of the nations’ most respected environmental and conservation charities. Ask your HR department whether your company offers workplace giving through EarthShare.
Combined Fund Campaigns
Are you a public sector employee? If yes, you have the opportunity to participate in federal, state, and municipal combined-fund campaigns, including the Washington State Combined Fund Drive and the Combined Federal Campaign. UW staff, faculty, and retirees can also donate to the Greenway Trust through the UW Combined Fund Drive.
