New This Year: Resilience Film Fest on Friday, September 26
The Mountains to Sound Greenway National Heritage (Greenway NHA) is a landscape recognized nationally for its ecological, cultural, and historical significance. Here, we are lucky to have nearly one million acres of publicly conserved land to explore and recreate within. In Kittitas County, 70% of the land is publicly-owned and managed by the United States Forest Service, the Washington Departments of Natural Resources and Fish and Wildlife, Bureau of Land Management, and Kittitas County, with collaborative support from partner nonprofits, businesses, and community members.
The Resilience Film Festival features 11 short videos on how communities and local organizations are restoring public lands and our relationships to them in the Greenway NHA. Following the films, there will be a panel discussion where you can ask questions of your neighbors, peers, and CWU alum who are working to advance this important work.
