Event Overview

Join us by the West Fork Teanaway River for a Working with Weeds event on Saturday, July 12th! At this event, you will learn how to identify weeds in the TCF, why managing them matters, and how you can repurpose them as botanical dyes and fibers! Bambi Miller of Parke Creek Farm will lead the group in identifying introduced species, and which are suitable to be made into natural fibers, before showcasing how plants that endanger their ecological communities can be turned into something that benefits ours!

Meet at the Teanaway Camping Area walk-in site parking (Discover Pass required) to check in for the event by 8:30AM with Vince Pruis (vince.pruis@mtsgreenway.org, 509-818-7565). Remember to bring: layers for the weather, water, and a Discover Pass for parking. Gloves will be provided.
