Event Overview
Event Description We are celebrating a partnership between Bank of America, American Forests and the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust through a tree giveaway day for Bank of America employees! Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust staff will help participants choose the right tree for their property and provide helpful resources on planting and caring for the tree. Interested participants can also attend an online kickoff ahead of the event, on Friday, February 25th at 12pm (PST), to learn about the importance of trees and tree care! You can join through this link. To assist in tree selection, we ask participants complete this American Forests Tree Questionnaire ahead of time and bring it to the tree giveaway event. Bank of America and American Forests have been an integral partner of the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust. Through this partnership, the Greenway Trust has been engaged in a long-term carbon sequestration project in the City of Shoreline at Ballinger Open Space. This is part of a 25-year urban forest project that benefits the local community and is part of a nationwide registry of carbon credit projects through the work of City Forest Credits. You can read more about this project and partners on our blog! For the tree giveaway day, please follow event driving directions to reach the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust Native Plant Nursery where you will be united with your new tree.
