Driving Directions

From I-90, take exit 22 toward Preston/Fall City. Turn north after the exit onto SE 82nd Road (turn left if going eastbound, right if going westbound). Turn right onto Preston-Fall City Road SE at the yield sign. Drive for about 0.2 miles then turn right onto SE 85th Place. Turn left into the YMCA parking lot. Look for event signs and leaders to direct you to parking.

Additional Information

The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust and YMCA are partnering to tackle the growing ivy problem at the YMCA’s Camp Terry property in Preston.  Located in Preston along the Raging River, the YMCA owns and manages the seven acre Camp Terry property.  Unfortunately, English ivy and other non-native weeds have infested much of the camp.  Ivy has colonized the ground crowding out native wildflowers, ferns and tree seedlings and has climbed up most of the trees and put them in danger of toppling over in winter storms (many already have).  Volunteers will play a pivotal role in removing these invasive plants and then in the fall re-establishing native plant communities along the Raging River to improve Chinook salmon habitat.
