Seattle Forest Week Event on Lake Washington Blvd
Seattle Forest Week is November 7th - 15th! This is the time of year that we get together with our neighbors to kick off planting season. All community members are welcome and no experience is necessary. These events are family friendly and open to all ages.
Join us for habitat restoration as we work to remove English ivy and Himalayan blackberry at this site.
After the restoration, join us at Seward Park for a celebration with banh mis for lunch and optional birding with the Seward Park Audubon Center and ECOSS!
For safety, volunteers are required to wear:
- Long pants made of sturdy material
- Sturdy, close-toed shoes
- Gloves (provided)
In addition, we recommend that participants bring:
- Warm layers, especially during the fall, winter, and spring
- Rain gear
- Snacks for breaks
- Long sleeved shirt
- At least one full water bottle
- Small daypack for food, extra layers, etc…
