Rivers Walk at Dickey Creek

Date & Time
Saturday, August 19, 2023 | 9:30-11:30
Location
Teanaway Community Forest
Event Overview
Come learn about the rivers in the Teanaway—how they’ve shaped the landscape, why we can see bedrock in most of them, and what’s being done to reshape them now. Join hydrogeologist Tom Ring at Dickey Creek for a gentle walk to a unique section of the river where you'll hear all about what forces create a riverbed, and what our role can be among them. Park at the Dickey Creek parking area (Discover Pass required) and check in before the walk begins at 9:30. There are porta potties at the parking area, and the walk is fairly flat. You will return to your car by 11:30. REGISTER
