Owhi Campground & Trails Workparty
Join the Mountains to Sound Greenway and the US Forest Service to celebrate National Public Lands Day with service! Volunteers will help improve Owhi Campground by installing and staining picnic tables and fire pits, as well as brush and remove downed trees from the trails that connect Owhi to Pete Lake and Salmon la Sac.
Meet at the Cooper Lake Day Use parking area to check in with your task lead, and then join us at Dru Bru for a post-event volunteer celebration!
Bring water and snacks. The event ends at 1, and it will take almost an hour to return to town, so you won't have access to other food until 2! Pit toilets are available at the campground.
Wear long pants, close toed shoes, and weather-appropriate layers.
From Cle Elum, take State Highway 903 north 16 miles then turn left on Forest Road 46 / Cooper River Road. Travel about 5.3 miles, and turn right on Road 4616 and continue about one half mile to the campground which is to the left on spur road 113.
