Additional Information

We are celebrating big this year for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day – combining Earth Day and Arbor Day celebrations with the City of Issaquah!

To take part, join the Greenway Trust and our partners at the City of Issaquah, Green Issaquah Partnership, on April 25 at Sammamish Cove for a day full of habitat restoration, education, and celebrations.

Sammamish Cove is a former dairy farm adjacent to Lake Sammamish State Park. It borders Tibbetts Creek, a salmon-bearing stream, to the Northeast. Boasting sweeping views of the Issaquah Alps, the area has been overwhelmed by invasive weeds. Greenway Trust volunteers have worked hard to remove these invasive weeds along the creek and install over 2,000 native plants in this ecologically sensitive area. Additionally, volunteers completed a half mile mulched loop trail in 2019. We are excited to have you join in on these continued efforts.

No experience necessary, all training provided. Please remember to sign the e-waiver (link in agenda e-mail) prior to the event.
