Art in the Park
You won’t want to the “Art in the Park” temporary sculpture exhibit at Lake Sammammish State Park featuring 10 talented local artists. The exhibit opens on August 12 and will be up until September 15.
Ten artists were selected by a jury panel in June. Some of the submissions were of existing work while others were uniquely created for this exhibit. The sculptures represent diverse styles and incorporate a variety of materials including wood, tiles, fiber, and steel.
To view the art, visit the park any day, dawn to dusk. The expo will be set up in the area around the Kitchen Shelter.
A daily parking fee of $10 is required, or an annual Discover Pass. Discover Passes can be purchased at www.discoverpass.wa.gov
The exhibit is generously sponsored by the City of Issaquah Arts Commission, Banner Bank, Miriam and Jon Friedman, Downtown Issaquah Association, and Regency Centers.
