Des (she/her) is a Volunteer Specialist with the Greenway Trust, supporting community engagement and volunteer opportunities. She is originally from Ventura, California, where she developed a passion for wildlife, nature, and conservation work. She has her B.S. in Biology from the University of Washington and a M.S. in Spatial Ecology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. When not at work, she enjoys long walks with her dogs and husband, reading, gardening, and volleyball.
