With the Greenway Trust since 2024

August Spires (they/them) is excited to join the Greenway team as the Kittitas Volunteer Stewardship Coordinator. August grew up in Snoqualmie and received their degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Washington. Their previous experience with the USFS as a park ranger ignited a passion for public land accessibility and inclusion. In their new role with the Greenway Trust, August will focus on volunteer outreach and engagement in Kittitas County, and they are particularly excited to head the Trailhead Ambassador Program. In their free time, August enjoys climbing, fishing, and stained glass.
