How to Get Started on Your Passport:
1. Get Your Booklet. Grab a Volunteer Passport at any Greenway Trust event. If you don’t see them out on a table, feel free to ask a staff member and they will be happy to provide you with one.
2. Earn Stamps at Events. Attend Greenway Trust events to collect stamps. Your passport shows all the eligible event types, and we invite you to try different activities and explore new places. Don’t forget to bring your passport with you!
Please note that some events may qualify for more than one category, but you can only receive one stamp per event—you get to choose which one. For example, a trail work event in Cle Elum could count for both your Trail Builder and Kittitas County stamps, and you can choose which one you want credit for that day.
3. Track Your Progress. As you continue filling in your passport, see how much of the Greenway NHA you can experience along the way!
4. Redeem for Your Reward. Track your stamps and earn rewards that celebrate your journey as a Greenway Volunteer and the impact you’ve made.
- 5 stamps = Halfway Reward (Custom Greenway NHA bandana)
- 10 stamps = Final Prize (Stanley water bottle with Greenway Trust logo)

Frequently Asked Questions
Scroll below to view answers to questions about the Volunteer Passport Program. If you don’t see the answer to your question, please let us know!
I forgot my passport today! Can I still get a stamp?
Ask a staff member at the event you are attending. They can stamp a piece of paper that you can take home and tape or glue into your passport.
I lost my passport. Do I have to start over?
If you’ve misplaced or lost your Greenway Volunteer Passport and still would like to work towards your prize, you can contact us to let us know. You can self-report your past event attendance for verification, and then we can reissue a new passport with the confirmed stamps.
I forgot to get my stamp at the last event that I went to. How do I get a make-up stamp?
At the next Greenway Trust event you attend, let our Volunteer Team know and they will provide the make-up stamp for you.
Do corporate volunteer events, education program stewardship field trips, or other group events count?
Yes! You can earn your stamp for whatever activity you were doing that day, such as pulling blackberry or volunteering at the Greenway Trust Native Plant Nursery. You can then continue to earn additional stamps as an individual moving forward.
Can I start late in the year?
You can start your passport at any time during the year, as the Volunteer Passport Program has a rolling start.
Is there a deadline for completing the passport?
There is currently no deadline to complete your passport and redeem for your rewards, although the program is dependent on funding availability. We will update this page if a deadline is implemented in the future and do our best to give plenty of advance notice for those who are eager to complete their passports!
How many stamps do I have to collect to complete my passport?
After receiving 5 stamps, you can receive your halfway reward. Once you receive at least 10 stamps, you can receive the final prize for completing the Volunteer Passport. There is no additional prize for completing every blank space in the passport.
What kind of rewards can I earn?
For the halfway reward, you can earn a special Greenway Trust bandana. It’s the perfect item to use when you’re out on the trails and for other outdoor adventures! For the final prize, you can earn a Stanley water bottle featuring the Greenway Trust logo.
Please note that these rewards are subject to change. There is currently no deadline for passport redemption, but rewards will be provided as supplies last.
