Event Overview

Join us at Dickey Creek Trailhead on Sunday, May 3, for a family-friendly River Walk! This event features a short trail, wide enough for a wagon or stroller, to a popular swimming hole with natural sandstone slides. There will be no swimming at the event.

During the River Walk, you’ll learn about the Teanaway Community Forest, how to be safe and comfortable outdoors, and what makes this place so special for both people and fish! Noel Trujillo-Garcia, who leads APOYO’s Aventureros Program, will co-lead the event with Vincent Pruis, speaking about outdoor safety, and Tori Wood, speaking about habitat.

Park at the Dickey Creek Trailhead (Discover Pass required) then check in for the event by 10AM. Once you’ve checked in, you can use the vault toilet on site before the walk begins. Remember to bring: layers for the weather, walking shoes, a Discover Pass for parking, and water.
