Karissa Maeda (she/her) is excited to join the Greenway Trust as a Communications Coordinator. Karissa grew up appreciating the coastal landscapes of Southern California, which shaped her own connection to nature and passion for bringing communities together to protect it. She received a B.S. in Public Health from Baylor University and a Master of Science in Public Health from Johns Hopkins, while gaining experience in health communication, nonprofit marketing, and outreach. Karissa is especially excited to connect volunteers, donors, and community members with the Greenway Trust and its mission. In her free time, she enjoys creating multimedia art, reading, running, hiking, and embracing new outdoor adventures.
