Women in the Woods

Women working on the trail

Through our Women in the Woods program, we create several trail projects each year specially designed for women.  Whether you are a trail pro or are out to try trail work for the first time, Women in the Woods events are a blast.

Thanks to REI for sponsoring this great event!

Spring 2016 Project:

Saturday, May 14
Tiger Mountain

Calling all girls and women—join REI and the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust for the 2016 Women in the Woods event. Join other female volunteers and Greenway staff members to improve trails on Tiger Mountain. Whether you are a regular trail "user and improver" or a curious novice, this is a great way to get involved.

Our spring project will be on the Lingering Trail where we will complete a bridge, improve the tread on a recent trail reroute, and clean up drainages to keep water moving efficiently off the trail.

Learn how to use a McLeod. Meet other women interested in the outdoors. And make a difference on local trails!

Register online here.

Minimum age is 14.  Work/hiking boots and long pants required.

If you have questions about this event or would like to bring your group out, please contact Anna Hendricks, Volunteer Program Coordinator.
