Event Overview
Education and stewardship are vital for protecting public lands; when trail users learn how they impact the land, they are empowered to make decisions that ensure public lands remain enjoyable for generations to come. Trailhead Ambassadors help educate visitors about responsible recreation, which can reduce negative impacts to the land. As a volunteer ambassador you'll work alongside Greenway Staff to welcome visitors, answer questions, and provide information and education about Leave-No-Trace, so forest visitors have everything they need for a great time. This event is part of the Trailhead Ambassador Program, and to register you must have completed the short, online training. Driving Directions

Gravel road is long with extensive potholes and a stream crossing that may require high clearance vehicles and a longer than expected drive time, especially in early season.

From Cle Elum, travel north on Highway 903 for 19 miles to Salmon La Sac and veer right onto Forest Road 4330. Continue 11 miles to the trailhead at end of road. Parking is limited, plan for extra walking distance to trailhead.
