Teanaway Trail Work – Suncadia
This year the Mountains to Sound Greenway has been making improvements to the popular Cheese Rock Trail. The primary goal will be to rework a steep switchback to make it easier to navigate and require less future maintenance. Nearby, we will also improve the trail by brushing the corridor and widening the tread in some spots. Activities will include hiking tools into the site (1/4 mile), digging, shoveling, and raking, and brushing with loppers and handsaws.
- Plenty of water – it will be hot!!
- a big sack lunch
- long pants
- closed toed shoes
- a daypack with an extra layer
- a Discover Pass if you have one; if you don't, vouchers will be provided at the event.
Directions: Start at I-90 exit 85 (Cle Elum). Go east on SR-970 for 6.9 miles. Turn left on Teanaway Road. Go 7.3 miles. Turn left on West Fork Teanaway Road, and arrive at the West Fork Trailhead after 1 mile.
