Pasifika Youth are the Future

The Wing Luke Museum’s final Book-O-Rama event features local authors Alika Bourgette, contributor to Reppin’: Pacific Islander Youth and Native Justice and Dr. Rick Bonus of The Ocean in the School: Pacific Islander Students Transforming Their University, both at the University of Washington. Join us as we honor the voices and stories of our Pasifika Youth who confront continuing legacies of colonization, incarceration, and militarization, perpetuate antiracism as the core of social justice, and foster community to transform the education platforms into spaces that value healing, meaningfulness, respect, and critical thought.
