Capture the essence of flowers and foliage with simple, quick techniques and portable materials! Beginning with fun warm-up exercises you will be guided in an intuitive approach to sketching with pen, layering watercolor washes, and gathering tips that can be applied to everyday sketching.

In this online, but hands-on, class you will have the opportunity to work from summer flowers and foliage from your own garden.

Photos featured from the UW Botanic Gardens plant collections at the Center for Urban Horticulture and Washington Park Arboretum will be introduced for inspiration. This class will be especially beneficial to those who want to document their own gardens or nature close to home.

Class size is kept small to give you lots of personal attention. A simple supply list is available at registration. All levels welcome.
