Date & Time
Wednesday, August 28, 2019 | 9am to 2pm
Location
Garfield Ledges Trail
Event Overview
The Greenway is building a brand new trail to Garfield Ledges, and volunteers will support this effort by helping to improve the trail surface and tread, create trail structures such as rock walls, drainage, and staircases, and improve the trail corridor by helping with revegetation of exposed areas and clearing of debris. When finished, this short trail will provide access to sweeping views of the Middle Fork Valley. For more than two decades, the Mountains to Sound Greenway has worked with many different partners as part of a coalition to conserve and enhance the scenic Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River Valley. The Middle Fork  is a treasure for anyone living in or visiting the greater Seattle area. A person seeking a day of adventure could leave downtown Seattle and, in less than an hour’s time, reach the gateway to pristine Cascades wilderness in the Middle Fork Valley. From there, that person could set out on any of dozens of trails leading to mountain peaks, hidden lakes, or old-growth forests. No experience necessary - all training provided. Please sign the e-waiver prior to the event. Reminder: there is no cell phone reception beyond Mailbox Peak Trailhead in the Middle Fork. Please be prepared.

Moderate to Strenuous
Age Restriction
Ages 14 and up.
