Event Overview

Join us at Indian Camp on Saturday, July 12th, for our Lead-a-Llama event! This event, suitable for all ages, will introduce participants to pack llamas and the many wonderful ways they can help us make the forest more accessible. Charley Rosenberry, of local Rocking R Ranch, will teach us how to approach, pack, and lead the llamas, then take the group on a walk around the camping area, where you’ll have an opportunity to lead a llama yourself.

Park at the Indian Camp equestrian expansion kiosks (Discover Pass required) then check in for the event at the group site loop by 10AM. Once you’ve checked in with Vince Pruis (vince.pruis@mtsgreenway.org, 509-818-7565), you can find a seat or go say hi to the llamas. During the event, you’ll learn about multi-use trails in the Teanaway Community Forest, how to share the trails with stock animals, and how to lead a llama! Remember to bring: layers for the weather, walking shoes, a Discover Pass for parking, and water.
