Shenise Ramirez

With the Greenway Trust since 2022

Shenise Ramirez weaves stories out of the symbiotic relationships the Greenway NHA welds between humans, animals, and plant life. Before landing at the Greenway Trust, she spent seven years backpacking from newsrooms to mountains on the East Coast, looking for inspiration outside the range of a Slack ping. Shenise relocated to the Seattle area after falling in love with Washington’s rich natural history and its residents’ commitment to preserving it. With a BA in Journalism from SUNY Purchase, she uses multimedia storytelling to translate research into stories that bring communities behind the scenes of solutions-based environmental science. She believes intersectional storytelling creates fertile ground for an environmentally just future.
