Oh The Places You’ll Go!

Did you know that the Mountains to Sound Greenway is not only a beautiful landscape of working farms and forests, vibrant communities, and places to hike and bike but also a fun place to explore if you’re just itching to get out on the road and see something new? It’s easy to do along the Mountains to Sound Greenway National Scenic Byway!

Check out exciting points of interest in the Mountains to Sound Greenway Scenic Byway in Rand McNally’s “Best of the Road” series. We’re proud to be a part of your road trip plan!

All the scenery, recreation, history and culture of cooperation in the Greenway brought national attention to the Mountains to Sound Greenway, enabling the stretch of Interstate 90 to become the only high speed interstate highway in the nation to be designated a National Scenic Byway in 1998 – a title that usually goes to picturesque rural roads. We are so fortunate to have a National Scenic Byway running from end to end in the Mountains to Sound Greenway.

From one end of the Greenway landscape to the other, you will find what you’re looking for from places to take in scenery, picnic, or enjoy historical and cultural good times. The other cool thing is that you can check out many points in the Greenway during an easy day trip along the byway with out-of-town visitors and close friends.

All you have to do is just get out in the Greenway!
