‘Lens’ Us Your Pics!

After this summer’s successful Teanaway Volunteer Workparty, we want to see and share all the ways people play in the Teanaway. The Teanaway Community Forest Advisory Committee has created a photo contest to spotlight the features and activities that draw visitors to this landscape.

The rules are simple: enter one of five categories, ‘Teanaway at Play’, ‘Flora and Fauna’, ‘Waterways’, ‘Geology’, or ‘Volunteerism’. Then, vote for your (or your favorite) photo once per day! Our judges will select a first prize winner from the top three ranked photos in each category, and one grand prize winner overall. All photos must be taken in the Teanaway Community Forest, though there’s no limit on how recently, and we ask that they comply with Leave No Trace Guidelines. For more on the contest rules, prize packages, and photography tips, go here.

Let’s help the Washington Department of Natural Resources, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife and the local communities show off the unique beauty and amazing variety of recreational opportunities in the Teanaway. This contest will run through January 1, 2019, so hurry and submit for the best chance to win!
