Event Overview
Join the Mountains to Sound Greenway and the US Forest Service to celebrate National Public Lands Day with service! The Fish Lake Guard Station and adjacent campground need some sprucing up! Volunteers will help stain and seal the cabin, install new picnic tables and fire rings, and brush out the camping area.
Difficulty
Easy to Moderate. A range of activities are available, from staining surfaces to assembling picnic tables.
Age Restriction
Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
What to Bring

Bring water and snacks. The event ends at 1, and it will take almost an hour to return to Cle Elum, so you won’t have access to other food until 2! A pit toilet is available in the campground.

Wear long pants, close toed shoes, and weather-appropriate layers.

Driving Directions

From Cle Elum: travel 19 miles northwest on Highway 903/Salmon La Sac Highway. Turn right on Forest Service Road 4330 and travel about 11 miles. Campground is on the right.
