Event Overview
Hey, Burien youth: Join us for a fun, free event this summer! Help restore Salmon Creek Ravine, an urban forest in Burien, to do a restoration project, explore green careers, and meet new friends. No experience needed — just show up ready to learn and lend a hand!

No experience necessary!

We will have tools, gloves, training, and lunch for everyone who attends.

If you join us on Monday, August 25 at Hilltop Park, you’ll get to do an art project after lunch.

What to Bring

For safety, volunteers are required to wear:

  • Long pants (we’ll be working with tools, so no shorts!)
  • Sturdy, close-toed shoes (absolutely no sandals)
  • Gloves (provided)

In addition, we recommend that participants bring:

  • Sun protection, including a hat and sunscreen
  • A full water bottle
Driving Directions

Volunteers will meet & park at the Bus Stop #51552 at the intersection of Ambaum Blvd SW & SW 122nd St. Find your route here: https://tripplanner.kingcounty.gov/#/app/tripplanning. Look for event staff to direct you. Street parking is available, but limited, in the neighborhood.

Event leads will walk with the volunteers about 10 minutes into the park.
