This moderate and well maintained trail that passes Hyas Lake before climbing to the Pacific Crest Trail at Deception Pass is good for hiking and horse riding. The first 3 miles are easy and fun for kids. Water available along most of the trail.

This is a very difficult motorbike trail with many switchbacks and significant horse traffic. Nice view about 3.5 miles from DeRoux trailhead at the divide with the Middle Fork Teanaway. Also access to a continuation up to Koppen Mountain on Trail #1225
