Recently, a local team of volunteers joined forces with the Greenway Trust and USFS to repair the Sculpture Rock Trail out of Swauk Campground. This is just the first of many projects that will focus on giving much needed TLC to trails in the Upper Yakima Basin.

Blazed Ridge Trail: 1333

Trail offers good views of Mt Rainier and nearby ridges. It is a very challenging for mountain bikes and can loop with FS RD 4110 and the Manatash Ridge Trail. It is not popular with horse riders as there is a lot of motorbike traffic.

Blowout Mountain Trail: 1318

This popular and challenging motorbike and mountain trail is used to access the Manastash Ridge trail #1388. Expect to carry bikes across some sections. It makes a short hike that provides great views of Blowout Mtn, but is not popular with horseriders.

Blue Creek Trail: 1364.2

This trail climbs steeply in its entirety to the junction with the Red Top Trail. Views open up as the trail climbs through enjoyable large ponderosa pine forest interspersed with small grassy meadows.

Boulder DeRoux Trail: 1392

This makes a popular hiking loop combined with Esmerelda Basin Trail, it is a very challenge hike-bike mtn bike or motorcycle trail with thin tread and exposure, and it makes a good ride from De Roux Campground (which has horse facilities).

Boulder-DeRoux Trailhead

This trailhead provides access to the western side of Boulder DeRoux trail. The trail can also be accessed from the Boulder DeRoux Campground on the east (pass required at that trailhead)

Cabin Cutoff Trail

This pair of trails is one of mountain bike routes in the Joe Watt Canyon area of the LT Murray Wildlife Area. It connects Watt Canyon Road to the Racing Loop and runs on an old logging road and is not open to motorized vehicles.

This popular local destination can be accessed on foot from the Irene Reinhart parking lot on Umtanum Rd or from Rotary Park via a connector path under I-90. You can drive to the beach in the summer but road access is closed in the winter.
