SUMMARY:Birds of May: Moses Coulee
DESCRIPTION:What:  Birds connect us to nature and each other. Spend some time exploring The Nature Conservancy’s Moses Coulee preserve and the majestic Greater Sage Grouse that rely on this shrub-steppe ecosystem. \nThe Moses Coulee and Beezley Hills Preserve is situated on the spectacular Columbia Plateau\, these large preserves are protecting open skies\, dramatic geology and fascinating desert species in this region. Totaling more than 30\,000 acres\, these are some of the Nature Conservancy’s largest preserves in Washington\, offering incredible geological scenery such as Ice Age floods-carved coulees\, pothole lakes\, haystack boulders\, waterfalls and dunes. These preserves provide habitat for resident species in need of protection\, including the sage grouse. \nNature Conservancy staff will be joined by Dr. Michael Shroeder\, Scientist for WA Department of Fish and Wildlife\, who has researched the biology and management of grouse since 1981. \nWhere:  Zoom(Link sent out after invitation) \nREGISTER: https://www.washingtonnature.org/volunteer-events/2020/5/19/birds-of-may-moses-coulee
