SUMMARY:Snoqualmie Valley Trail Bike Ride - Explore the Greenway Trip
DESCRIPTION:Tune up your bike and join us for a leisurely ride along the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley Trail\, which parallels the river and occupies the historic path of a spur line of the Chicago\, Milwaukee\, St. Paul\, and Pacific Railroad. Riders will have the opportunity to visit two Snoqualmie Valley farms\, beginning and ending the day at Remlinger Farms and pit-stopping at Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center as the turn-around point. In total\, the ride will cover 11.5 miles roundtrip on nearly flat trail. \nWe will meet at Remlinger Farms at 9 a.m. and begin our ride in waves\, heading northwest toward Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center where we will stop for a short snack and water break\, and an opportunity to peruse their farm stand. We will then head back to Remlinger Farms\, completing our 11.5-mile roundtrip ride. There is an on-site restaurant and brewery at Remlinger Farms\, and participants will receive a discount coupon to apply toward lunch if you’d like to stay after the ride or come back on another day. \nCome prepared to spend the day outside and have fun! Wear clothes and shoes that will be comfortable for an 11.5-mile roundtrip bike ride\, and a change of clothes for afterward if you wish. \nOnce you are registered\, we will send you more detailed information about the trip. \nCost: This event is free thanks to generous support from King County\nParticipants will receive a t-shirt. Coffee\, breakfast pastries\, snacks\, and water provided. \nDifficulty: Moderate (The trail is railroad grade\, generally flat. There is a short (50ft) hill from the parking area up to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail\, you are welcome to walk your bike up this hill) \nTotal Trip Size: Up to 100 participants \n\nEVENT FULL\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Yakima River Float - Explore the Greenway Trip
DESCRIPTION:Explore the eastern part of the Greenway—from the river! Join us for a special float trip along the Yakima River\, floating the Upper Canyon between Cle Elum and Thorp. Raft past basalt canyons\, rolling forests\, and green farmlands of the Yakima Basin with expert guides\, and learn about this basin’s unique ecology and efforts to conserve it from special guest speakers during our locally sourced lunch. \nRegistration is now closed for this event. \nDetails:\nDate: Saturday\, June 18\, 2022\nTime: 10 a.m. – late afternoon\nLocation: Starting at the Cle Elum Depot (801 Milwaukee Ave\, Cle Elum\, WA 98922) \nCost: $85/person*\n*The registration fee covers the cost of the rafts\, shuttle\, safety gear\, t-shirt\, snacks\, and lunch. We do have financial scholarships available\, please check out our Frequently Asked Questions page to learn how to apply.  \nDistance: 18 river miles\nDifficulty: moderate (manageable by novices\, but will require paddling!) \nTotal Trip Size: Up to 80 participants \nAge Restrictions: 12 years and older. All youth 16 or younger need to be accompanied by an adult. \nWhat to Expect and Bring:\nDrivers will drop their passengers at the Teanaway River Bridge at 10:00 am\, and continue on to park their vehicle near our take-out point in Thorp. The drivers will then be shuttled back to the Teanaway River Bridge to rejoin the main group and cast off down the river! We will enjoy a lunch break at a scenic riverside campground just off the Palouse to Cascade State Park Trail\, where we’ll be joined by river restoration and fisheries experts who will share the unique story of the Yakima River. \nCome prepared to spend the day outside on the water and have fun! Check the weather before you come and plan accordingly. If it is supposed to be cold or windy\, we recommend a wind breaker and warm clothing. If you can\, avoid wearing cotton clothing on the water during cold days. It will stay wet and make you chilly. \nBring the following:  \n\nSwimsuit (and/or clothes you don’t mind getting wet)\nSun hat\nSunglasses\nShoes that strap to your feet such as old tennis shoes\, water shoes\, or sandals.\nAt least two liters of water per person\n\nPersonal Flotation Devices will be provided\, but you are welcome to bring your own. You must be able to swim\, regardless of Personal Flotation Devices. \nOur river guides require guests to wear masks while on the shuttle bus – anyone without a face covering will not be allowed to board. \nOnce you are registered and paid\, we will send you more detailed information about the trip.
