SUMMARY:Trash Clean Up\, Brushing\, and Weeding at the Teanaway Guard Station
DESCRIPTION:Join the Mountains to Sound Greenway and the USFS to celebrate National Public Lands Day with service! The Teanaway Guard Station was constructed in 1950 by a miner\, then passed into the hands of the Forest Service to be used as a fire guard station in 1978. Now this historical building can be rented for overnight use. Park at the dispersed sites across the road from the Guard Station and meet your site lead in front of the building. Your project will be cleaning up trash in the area\, trimming back brush\, and weeding around the station. Gloves\, trash bags\, and brush cutters will be provided.
