SUMMARY:Teanaway Community Forest Native Plants Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a walk through the Teanaway Community Forest with Laura Potash to identify and learn about native flora. Laura Potash served as the past President of the Washington Native Plant Society and was the lead Botanist for the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest for 23 years. When she moved to Roslyn in 2014\, she was hired by The Nature Conservancy as the Coordinator for the Tapash Sustainable Forest Collaborative.  \nOn this walk\, Laura will identify the local flora and answer questions about plant life in the area. Meet at the West Fork turnaround\, where you’ll check in with your vaccine card\, then the group will make its way into the forest. The walk will take about two hours round trip\, so bring water and snacks.  \nRegistration is free\, but limited to 20 people\, and those of all ages are encouraged to join us. Proof of vaccination is required for participation.  \nREGISTER
