SUMMARY:Restoration at Timberlake
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the City of Issaquah\, Mountains to Sound Greenway volunteers will help restore the ecological health of this new park. Timberlake Park is approximately 24-acres and is located on the south shore of Lake Sammamish\, between the lake and Interstate 90. Although it contains one of the largest stands of intact second-growth trees along the lake\, the park is being over-run by invasive species such as ivy\, blackberry\, laurel\, and others. These invasive plants do not provide needed shelter for wildlife and fish and their competition jeopardizes the health of native vegetation. Volunteers will help remove these invasives\, plant native species\, and be part of the ongoing process of restoration in this quiet lakeside park. \nPlease remember to sign the e-waiver\, in agenda e-mail\, prior to the event.
