SUMMARY:North Bend Arbor Day 2019
DESCRIPTION:The City of North Bend proclaims Friday\, November 1 as Arbor Day 2019 and invites its citizens to a community tree planting event that same day beginning at 2:00pm at Meadowbrook Farm Park. \nPlease join Mayor Ken Hearing\, City Staff\, Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust staff\, and community volunteers to plant native evergreen trees Meadowbrook Farm Property\, to help restore a forested canopy along a stream buffer currently occupied by invasive blackberry.  The event is a part of a larger site rehabilitation project being coordinated by the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust and funded by a Cooperative Watershed Management Grant from the King County Flood Control District.  \nThe event will be at the Dike Road Field near the new bridge to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail\, east of Boalch Road.  Park at the small gravel parking area off Boalch Avenue next to the sign kiosk\, north of the Interpretive Center building.  Watch for signs directing you to the gathering area\, down the gravel path/road across Boalch Road. \nNo experience necessary\, and all training\, tools and gloves will be provided.  Volunteers should dress appropriate and bring their own water and snacks if desired.
