SUMMARY:Middle Fork Trailhead Equestrian Area: National Public Lands Day
DESCRIPTION:The Middle Fork Trailhead is the primary setting-off point in the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Valley for trail users in the equine community. For riders\, this area is a gem\, offering day rides and primitive overnight camping through old growth and mature second growth\, by cascading waterfalls\, and along wild and scenic rivers with regular views of dramatic mountain scenery. Work alongside members of this community to maintain and enhance recreational infrastructure to support safe and continued access for them and their animals. Learn from long-time riders about the importance of horse and mule support in maintaining our trails and public lands. Hosted by the Backcountry Horseman of Washington and the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust Followed by the REI Co-op Cheers for Volunteers celebration at the Middle Fork Campground.
