SUMMARY:Middle Fork River Access and Put-In Maintenance: National Public Lands Day
DESCRIPTION:The Middle Fork Snoqualmie River offers the most accessible and convenient intermediate whitewater recreation for the Greater Seattle area. Despite its proximity to the city\, the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River winds through a forested river valley giving paddlers a sense of remoteness. For local paddlers\, the 7.6 mile “Middle-Middle\,” beginning at the concrete bridge by Granite Creek Flats downstream to the SE Tanner Road in North Bend\, is a popular after work paddle for local boaters. Join in at Tanner Landing Park\, with the luscious backdrop of Mount Si\, to maintain habitat by removing invasive weeds at a popular river access point. \nHosted by King County Parks and Recreation and the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust.  \nThis project will end a bit earlier than other NPLD projects so volunteers can make it in time for the REI Co-op Cheers for Volunteers celebration at the Middle Fork Campground.
