SUMMARY:Little Si Trail Gravel Haul with the 45+ Group
DESCRIPTION:Companion piece to neighbor and big brother Mount Si\, the small rocky bluff known as Little Si is a moderately graded round trip 4.7 mile trail located in the hike-rich North Bend area. Less than an hour away from Seattle\, Little Si offers a great connection to nature for those in search of quick\, family-friendly adventure. Due to its proximity to large urban areas\, the Little Si trail is one of the most hiked trails in the state\, and thus is consistently in need of attention and maintenance. Mountains to Sound Greenway volunteers have been maintaining Little Si trails for the past ten years and continue to maintain these trails today. \nThe Greenway is partnering with the 45+ meetup group and other volunteers (yourself included!) to join forces to re-crown a turnpike section of the Little Si trail\, just before the Boulder Garden Loop Trail. Volunteers will be adding gravel and mineral soil to this turnpike in a way that will be resilient to years of recreation on the trail. \nPlease register and sign the e-waiver (link in agenda e-mail) prior to the event.
