SUMMARY:Celebrate Green Issaquah
DESCRIPTION:The City of Issaquah and the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust are partnering on a new restoration project within the City. Located along Issaquah Creek\, Front Street Properties offers an excellent opportunity for habitat enhancement of the riparian area of the Creek. This restoration will assist in salmon habitat enhancement efforts that both the City and the Greenway Trust have been extremely active in along the Creek.  \nThe event will also feature opportunities to learn more about the Green Issaquah Partnership\, a new program to grow and support forest restoration efforts across the city. Forterra and the City of Issaquah will share results from a recent forest assessment and have activities for people to provide feedback on the values\, interests and priorities surrounding forested parks and open space that will help shape this stewardship partnership program. \nWe are excited for volunteers to join in on this restoration effort\, learn about habitat restoration and it's connection to salmon and Southern Resident Orcas\, and enjoy the day together.
