SUMMARY:2019 Women in the Woods - Thorp Creek Trail
DESCRIPTION:The Greenway Trust has offered the Women in the Woods series since 2010 to address the gender gap in the trail community and build community for women-identified and non-binary outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you are a trail pro or are out to try trail work for the first time\, Women in the Woods events are a blast. \nThis event will mark our second Women in the Woods event in Kittitas County! Be sure to join us on the east side of the Cascades\, working on the Thorp Creek Trail! This moderately difficult trail is well frequented as a day hike. It meanders through old growth forests and grassy hillsides as hikers\, bikers and equestrians alike follow the stream to Thorp Lake and Thorp Mountain Lookout. Due to its popularity\, and location\, this trail needs a lot of help with brushing and drainage. We will meet at Basecamp Books in Roslyn\, and caravan to the trailhead. \nTrail needs and accessibility vary during the summer season\, please be aware of potential site change but expect to hear from us before the event. Thank you for your understanding!
