Riverfront Park

Ivy PullRiverfront Park is a 3.8 acre natural area located along the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River in North Bend. The Mountains to Sound Greenway and the City of North Bend are kicking off a project this year to remove English ivy and restore this local park. Non-native English Ivy has overrun the area, covering 95% of the trees and 75% of the forest floor. If something is not done soon, the ivy will cause permanent damage to the trees and continue its spread to surrounding properties. Working with the City of North Bend, Greenway volunteers will begin removing the ivy from the tree trunks and the forest floor this spring and summer. We will be returning in the fall to plant native trees and shrubs to help return the park to its natural state.

"Great way to spend time with a friend or child - talk and pull, talk and pull. Our backs were a little sore but we really felt like we contributed to the overall effort." - Alison
