The Details:

In an exciting partnership with Carter Subaru, Seattle Parks and Recreation and Friends of Golden Gardens, volunteers will KMTT- 103.7 The Mountain Staffremove invasive Himalayan blackberry and English ivy, and plant native trees and shrubs in this shoreline park in Ballard on Community Cares Day: Wednesday, February 13th.

Recent Golden Garden Park projects have restored two wetlands, established a short loop trail, and restored the northern beach. However, there is a great deal more work needed in order to restore the environmental health of this park. Blackberries continue to encroach on the wetlands and English ivy has overtaken much of the upland forest in the park. Volunteers will be removing these weeds and helping to plant trees.

All Greenway restoration events are fun for the whole family. No experience is required. Registration required. Sign up today!
