Text from the Pacific Science Center's website:
Meet us at the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center in Bellevue, and we'll do the driving! After a short introduction to tracking, we'll load into our van and head up to Snoqualmie Pass. Then you'll strap on snowshoes and uncover the secret lives of wildlife in the winter. We'll search for signs of animal life, and follow the trail of snowshoe hares, ground squirrels, foxes and ravens.
No prior snowshoe experience is necessary; expect to walk 2-3 miles during the program. Snowshoes, an interpretive guide and hot cocoa are provided.
When: Saturday, February4
Cost: $48 adult/$42 child per day (need to be at least 8 years old)
Where: Meet your guide at the Mercer Slough Environmental
Education Center in Bellevue.
