The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust is planning two “explore the greenway” trips for hikers and bicyclists this summer, according to a news release.

• A Snoqualmie Tunnel bike ride and barbecue is planned from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 29. The two-mile tunnel underneath Snoqualmie Pass is a remnant of the area’s railroad history. The trip will take cyclists on a 20-mile stretch along Iron Horse State Park with a barbecue at Rattlesnake Lake.

• A hike on Rattlesnake Mountain will take people up Rattlesnake Ledge and beyond with a 10-mile trek across the mountain. The trip is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 13 and will end in a barbecue at Snoqualmie Point Park.

Trips are $25 a person. The Greenway Trust handles all logistics, including shuttle service and the barbecue. Register at mtsgreenway.org.
