A Day in and Around: Fall City
Recreation: From the Lake Alice trailhead, take a stroll above the Raging River on the Preston-Snoqualmie Trail, one of the first rail-to-trails in the area. This easy hike will lead you to a view of Snoqualmie Falls in under 2 miles. For a longer hike, begin at the Preston Park trailhead. Along the Snoqualmie River check out the riverbank or grab a picnic table at Fall City Community Park. If you're feeling a little more adventurous, spend a few hours on the Snoqualmie River with Fall City Floating, who can shuttle you upstream towards the falls where you can leisurely tube your way back to the Fall City Bridge. Be sure to make a reservation as they get booked fast on hot days!
Arts, Shopping, and Food: Pick up some local produce, honey, wine, or coffee and fresh baked cupcakes at the Farmhouse Market, open 7am until 10pm. If you're stopping for a sit-down meal try out the Fall City Roadhouse. If you're hoping for some art shows or performances, check out the Fall City Arts events calendar before you visit - maybe you'll catch some Shakespeare in the park!
