We look forward to working with you and your students!

This list applies to teachers who are registered for an in-class lesson, field study trip and stewardship event. All of it may not apply to your specific program.

Arrange for field study trip transportation

    • If you have been approved to use a free King County Wheels to Water bus, you will register for your bus at least 3 weeks before your field study trip.
    • If you are using a school bus or are carpooling, be sure to schedule transportation.

Arrange for service-learning stewardship event transportation

    • Schedule and pay for the bus(es).
    • If your school's free and reduced lunch percentage is greater than 50%, you are eligible to be reimbursed up to $250 for a stewardship event bus. To get reimbursed, email your receipt(s) to Stephanie Huck no later than July 31st.

Recruit chaperones

    • We ask that you bring 4+ chaperones per class on field study trips, and 3+ chaperones per class on stewardship events.
    • Chaperones for field study trips need to have a signed waiver: English, Somali, Spanish, Vietnamese.

Print and send home the youth waiver

    • Each student under the age of 18 years must have a signed youth waiver. One waiver covers a student for the field study trip and stewardship event.
    • Find youth waivers here: English, Somali, Spanish, Vietnamese.
