Sponsorships
Sponsorship is a great way to support the work in the Greenway!
Corporate and Foundation support is an important component of program support in the Greenway. From Environmental Education to Mountains to Sound Greenway Summer, our partners can choose to support the Greenway generally or direct their sponsorship towards a specific project or event.
Greenway Summer
The annual Greenway Summer brings hundreds of local community events and attractions together in one celebration throughout the Greenway. Events include the 20th Anniversary Mountains to Sound March, the 100-mile Mountains to Sound Relay, Greenway Challenge and many more.
Greenway Summer depends on generous sponsorships. Contact 206.382.5565x21 or info@mtsgreenway.org to join the circle of supporters.
Tree Planting
Each fall, the Greenway kicks off the tree planting season with a major volunteer event. Restoration work in the Greenway helps to restore native vegetation and improve water quality . Hundreds of volunteers remove invasive plants, plant native shrubs and trees, and restore riparian habitat.
-
Co-sponsorship of $1000 per event will cover some event expenses.
-
Sponsorship of $2500 for the spring event will cover direct expenses for the event, including tools, field materials, transportation, food and drink to support volunteers.
-
Sponsorship of $5000 for the fall event will cover all expenses to run the event, including planning, volunteer recruitment and crew leaders to train and lead volunteers. It will also cover native plants, grown in the Greenway tree nursery, to restore and re-vegetate the site.
Sponsoring organization(s) will be promoted on the Greenway Trust web site, in local news media, in the Greenway Trust newsletter and the email alerts. Banners will be displayed at each event.
Annual Celebration Dinner
The Greenway Trust holds a dinner and celebration that showcases accomplishments in the Mountains to Sound Greenway throughout the year. Past Masters of Ceremonies include the King County Executive, the Commissioner of Public Lands and two Secretaries of Transportation.
Sponsoring organizations or individuals will be listed prominently in the invitation, event program, on large signs at the event, and during the presentation.
Greenway Summer Camps for Youth
Each summer, dozens of young people venture into the Cascades for trail maintenance, ecological restoration work, environmental education and fun. Volunteers improve recreation sites and protect sensitive wildlife and salmon habitat while meeting new friends and learning about trail construction and environmental restoration. The program is free to volunteer participants, and is promoted through youth organizations and the Greenway Trust web site, newsletters and email newsletter.
Sponsoring organizations will be promoted on the Greenway Trust web site, in local news media, in the Greenway newsletter and the email newsletter.
