Youth Volunteer Coordinator

The Youth Volunteer Coordinator (.pdf) will further develop and grow a program of youth involvement and field-based stewardship in the Mountains to Sound Greenway.  The Greenway currently plans and coordinates several hundred volunteer events each year.  These events include regular weekend events and specialized events for groups, with high rates of youth involvement.  This position will work alongside staff to develop, coordinate and lead youth specific stewardship events.

Volunteer Program Outreach Associate: (an AmeriCorps position-.pdf) The Volunteer Program Outreach Associate will be heavily involved in the maintenance and growth of public involvement and stewardship in the Mountains to Sound Greenway.   The Volunteer Program currently includes several hundred volunteer events each year conducting tree planting, invasive plant removal, trail work and other enhancements on public lands in the corridor.  This person will work with a dynamic, creative, growing team to increase recruitment, develop outreach strategies, and coordinate current and future events for the public.  The Outreach Associate will be integrally involved in outreach, recruitment, registration, and recognition in order to develop a strong, growing volunteer program that supports conservation work along the Mountains to Sound Greenway.

Field Crew: Washington Conservation Corps members are energetic, motivated, passionate people who work in the field on environmental restoration and trail work projects. Crew members work full-time improving environmental restoration sites by planting trees and removing invasive weeds, building and maintaining trails, and working with volunteers. Training, hourly wage and AmeriCorps education award provided (AmeriCorps education award is offered for 12 month positions only). Applications are accepted year-round.
